Friends Reunited
This is not an intended genealogy site. However, although I registered soon after it was established, my major contact has been a previously unknown relative, see Roger Marsh on my 'Cousins' page. When it comes to family research you have to take them where you find them.

FriendsReunited is a simple-to-use Web site that allows you to find out what your old friends are doing now. Its database lists over 40,000 UK Secondary and Primary Schools, Colleges and Universities. More than 4.5 Million people have registered and this is growing at over 20,000 a day. Recently added are over 400,000 workplaces, so old work friends can now be located.

Since I wrote the preceding, Friends Reunited have added a family research facility - genesconnected.
