MARSH FAMILY TREES

 MARSH FAMILIES OF FOLKESTONE

To Home Page
To Trees Introduction

I am not aware of how many lines of Marsh families lived at some time or other in Folkestone. I do know that some Marsh families and their descendants have had a long association with Folkestone, beginning in the 17th century; other lines spent relatively short periods there. So many Marsh persons can be found in various records it is sometimes difficult to establish which family to which a particular individul belongs. I shall be posting charts for a number of Folkestone families, some long term and some short term, in an attempt to clarify who belongs to which line. I have accumulated a number of aids, wills etc., to assist in the process.  My own gt grandfather, John Marsh, settled there when he married in 1860 and many of his descendants still live there, including Paul Marsh, Mayor at the time the 'chunnel' was opened.
